The Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) provides compensation and medical benefits to current or former Department of Energy (DOE) workers, contractors, subcontractors, and certain survivors who developed illnesses related to workplace exposure while working at covered nuclear facilities. Covered conditions may include certain cancers, Chronic Beryllium Disease (CBD), chronic silicosis, and illnesses related to toxic exposures. Benefits may include lump-sum compensation, medical coverage, home health services, impairment benefits, and wage-loss compensation for eligible individuals. 

EEOICPA benefits may include:
• Medical coverage for accepted conditions
• Skilled nursing and home health services
• Personal care assistance
• Case management services
• Compensation for impairment and wage loss
• Survivor benefits for eligible family members
